Due to the current drought conditions, Cobar Shire Council wishes to advise it has a Hardship Policy which may provide options for local graziers who are having difficulty paying council rates. Public Exhibition:  Draft 2019/2020 Annual Operational Plan, Revenue Policy, Fees and Charges and Budget

Council’s 2019/2020 Draft Annual Operational Plan and Budget is on public exhibition. The Report includes the 2019/ 2020 Annual Operational Plan, Revenue Policy, Fees and Charges and Budget.

In accordance with Section 420 of the Local Government Act 1993, any person may make a submission in writing to Council with respect to the Council's Annual Operational Plan and Budget. Copies of the Annual Operational Plan, Revenue Policy, Fees and Charges and Budget may be inspected on Council's Website http://www.cobar.nsw.gov.au/council/integrated-planning-reporting/annual-operation-plan or a hard copy can be viewed at the following Council locations: Council Offices, Cobar Shire Library, Euabalong Library and the Nymagee Library.

The 2019/ 2020 Annual Operational Plan, Revenue Policy, Fees and Charges and Budget will be on public exhibition from Wednesday 29 May 2019 until Wednesday 26 June 2019.

Pursuant to Section 253 of the NSW Local Government Act 1993, Council advises the Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) will be on public exhibition from Wednesday 29 May 2019 until Wednesday 26 June 2019

Members of the public may view the document at Council’s Administration Office, 36 Linsley Street, Cobar or on Council’s website: www.cobar.nsw.gov.au.  Written submissions will be received until Wednesday 26 June 2019 and should be addressed to the General Manager, Cobar Shire Council, PO Box 223, Cobar, NSW, 2835.

Water Restrictions

The current water restrictions have been reviewed and due to daylight savings ending the times have been ammended commencing on Monday 8 April 2019. "Odds" and Evens"restrictions are still in effect and are as follows. You are reminded that the restrictions are enforceable:

Cobar

  • If your house is an even number you can water on even dates, ie 2nd, 4th, 6th of the month.
  • If you house is an odd number you can water on the odd dates, ie 1st, 3rd, 5th of the month.
    All fixed sprinklers, irrigations systems are not permitted
  • Handhelds hoses are only permitted between 4.00pm to 8.00pm only on your allocated day.
    There should be no outside watering other than during these times.
  • No car washing permitted on hard surfaces

Nymagee

  • Hand held hoses are permitted between 4.00 pm and 10.00 am daily;
  • All fixed sprinklers, irrigations systems are not permitted;
  • No car washing permitted on hard surfaces.

Mount Hope

  • Hand held hoses are permitted between 4.00 pm and 10.00 am daily;
  • All fixed sprinklers, irrigations systems are not permitted;
  • No car washing permitted on hard surfaces.
