Great Cobar Miners Heritage ParkThe park is adjacent to the Great Cobar Heritage Centre on the Barrier Highway in Cobar. Council Maintains the following infrastructure:
Acacia Drive ParkThe park is situated in the Wilga Park Subdivision in Acacia Drive and encompasses an area of 1,691m². The park is used for picnics and functions. The park also incorporates a children’s playground. Council maintains the following infrastructure:
Apex ParkApex park is situated in Elizabeth Crescent, Cobar and is located between Rankin Street and Elizabeth Crescent and encompasses an area of 2,428 m². The park is used for picnics and functions. The park also incorporates a children’s playground. Council maintains the following infrastructure:
Dalton ParkDalton park is located in Goold Street and between Monaghan and Morrison Streets. The park encompasses an area of 1,121 m². The park is used for picnics and functions. The park incorporates a children’s playground. Council maintains the following infrastructure:
Drummond ParkDrummond Park is located on the corner of Linsley and Harcourt Streets, Cobar. The park encompasses an area of 1.146 hectares. The park is used for barbeque's, picnics and functions. The park incorporates a children’s playground. Council maintains the following infrastructure:
Permission to use Drummond Park for Functions: Written permission to use Drummond park for functions must be obtained from Council prior to use. If tents are to be pitched, advance notice is required for a site has to be marked out by park staff to ensure irrigation lines remain intact.
Jandra Cresent ParkThe park is described as a public reserve and is situated in Jandra Estate Subdivision in Jandra Crescent, Cobar. The park encompasses an area of 1,222 m². The park is used for picnics and functions. Council maintains the following infrastructure:
Lions ParkLions park is situated at the corner of Woodiwiss Avenue and Margaret Street, Cobar. The park encompasses an area of 1,263 m². The park is used for picnics and functions, and the park incorporates a children’s playground. Council maintains the following infrastructure:
Little Tassie ParkLittle Tassie park is located between Tindera Street and Woodiwiss Avenue, Cobar. The park encompasses an area of 6,082 m². The park is used for picnics and functions, and the park incorporates a children’s playground. Council maintains the following infrastructure:
Morelli ParkMorelli park is situated between Yarren and Kurrajong Circles, Cobar. The park encompasses an area of 9,786 m². The park is not used regularly and has been returned to its natural state.
Mulga Place ParkThe park is located in Mulga Place, Cobar. The park encompasses an area of 725.3 m². The park is used for picnics and functions, and the park incorporates a children’s playground. Council maintains the following infrastructure:
Wilga ParkWilga Park is located in Wilga Crescent, Cobar and consists of Lot 10 in DP 262941. The park encompasses an area of 1,195 m² The park is not used regularly and has been returned to its natural state.
Canbelego ParkThe park is located in Florida Street, Canbelego.
Nymagee ParkMemorial Park is located at the corner of Milford and Hartwood Streets in the village of Nymagee. The park encompasses an area of 2,719 m². This park consists of a children’s playground. Council and the Nymagee Progress Association maintain the following infrastructure:
Euabalong ParkThe park located at the corner of Farnell and Nardoo Streets in the village of Euabalong. The park encompasses an area of 2,023 m². This park consists of a children’s playground. Council maintains the following infrastructure:
Euabalong West ParkThe reserve is located at the corner of Illewong and Murrin Streets, Euabalong West and consists. The park encompasses an area of 2,023 m². This park consists of a childrens playground. Council maintains the following infrastructure:
Bathurst Street ReserveThis reserve is located in Bathurst Street, Cobar. The reserve is 9.958 hectares. This reserve consists of tennis courts, a car park and Tom Knight Rugby League Oval. Council maintains the following infrastructure:
The Cobar Rugby League Club maintains the Tom Knight Oval and associated buildings.
Dalton Park Horse Sports ComplexThe reserve is dedicated as a racecourse and is located between the Bourke and Louth Roads, Cobar. It is accessed from Louth Road. This reserve is utilised for the annual Race Club meetings and as a sporting complex. The Dalton Park Race Club and Council maintain the following infrastructure:
The Newey ReservoirLocated at the end of Knight Road from Belagoy and Tindera Streets, Cobar. The Newey Reservoir was designed as a recreational area. There is 2 stainless steel barbeques and 3 stainless steel sitting tables. Council maintains the following infrastructure:
The Old ReservoirCommonly known as the "Old Res", it was built in 1885 as a water storage area for Cobar residents. Nowadays, mainly used for recreational purposes. It is a good area for families, jogging, barbecues and for walking dogs. |
