The Lilliane Brady Village, operated by the Cobar Shire Council, is a non-profit 34-bed facility co-locating a hostel and nursing home, both of which are certified and accredited. The Village is a centre of excellence for the aged and disabled, providing care to the community since 1982.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience in hospitality cervices (catering)
  • Knowledge of current Food Regulations pertaining to vulnerable clients(aged)
  • Demonstrate ability to plan, prepare and oversee the delivery of meals to 34 aged care residents
  • Ability to maintain menu and recipe cycle relevant to needs and preferences of the residents
  • Ability to oversee purchasing of catering supplies to reflect approved menu and recipes
  • Ability to work co-operatively as a team member
  • Ability to delegate, moniter and assess work practices of other kitchen staff
  • Willingness to proactively participate in the continuous improvements of catering services for the residents

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience in Aged Care
  • Understanding of Accreditation Standards for Aged Care
  • Good understanding and ability to implement HACCP policy and procedures
