Cobar Shire Council's Planning & Environment section has information on Building & Planning matters, Environmental Services and Weeds which are maintained by the Planning and Environmental Services Department.

The Building & Planning section has a variety of planning/forms available to download and use along with copies of the Cobar Local Environmental Plan 2001, Draft Local Environmental Plan 2011 and the Development Control Plan No. 2 – 2002.

The Environmental Services section provides information on domestic and trade waste collection services including a coloured map showing the domestic service route and collection days. There are also trade waste applications forms available to download.
