Environmental Services

Cobar Shire Council administers and provides a wide range of environmental services.  These include:
  • Management of community land
  • Approvals that are not included in the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act
  • Managing issues regarding contaminated land
  • Managing commons
  • Managing crown land
  • Managing issues regarding air quality
  • Managing waste quality
  • Ensuring that Council considers biodiversity and sustainability when assessing applications and carrying out works
  • Providing waste services and managing issues regarding waste
  • Control and regulate noise and considering heritage issues both aboriginal & non aboriginal
 

Domestic Waste

Domestic Waste Collection Service

Weekly collection of domestic waste is as indicated on the map below.  Residents are reminded to ensure that they place their mobile garbage bin on the kerb and clear of any obstructions the night before collection is due.

Trade Waste

Trade Waste Application Forms

People wishing to use Council's trade waste collection service on a casual or permanent basis will need to complete a form and return to Council.  An application form is also required to be completed if an additional collection of a permanent bin is required.

Domestic Animals

A Keeping of Domestic Animals Policy was adopted by Council on 23 November 2006 and can be viewed by accessing Council's policies and codes section of its website.
