Access expert assistance with maths, science, English, assignment research or study skills, 4pm-8pm, Monday-Friday. Story Time @ Your Library Regular Saturday storytime activities will continue throughout the school holidays.Children and their accompanying carers are welcome to attend a fun session of stories, rhymes & craft every Saturday 10:30 - 11:00. Summer Reading Club @ Your Library Summer reading club encourages kids to keep reading through the summer break with incentives and rewards. The progress of books read in Cobar will be measured in a torturous trek up Mount Ever-Hope. Help us to scale the lofty peaks of Mount Ever-Hope... and beyond! Holiday Activities @ Your Library A variety of exciting activities will be operating during the school holidays. Water Restrictions for Cobar Shire CouncilThe following restrictions are current. Cobar and Nymagee: · Hand-held hoses permitted 5pm to 10am daily · Fixed sprinklers, irrigation systems etc permitted 5pm to 10am daily · Car washing not permitted on hard surfaces Euabalong and Euabalong West · Fixed sprinklers, irrigation systems, etc banned · Hand-held hoses permitted 6pm to 10pm daily NOTE: Breaches of these restrictions will incur penalties. If residents ignore the current restrictions, Council will be forced to introduce tougher restrictions to ensure the sustainability of the town’s water supply. Cobar Shire Council Vandalism & GraffitiVandalism and Graffiti are imposing significant costs to the rate payers of Cobar. It is time for the Cobar community to fight back. Cobar Shire Council Administration Office & Cobar, Euabalong & Nymagee Libraries Christmas / New Year Shut DownResidents and visitors are advised that the Cobar Shire Council Administration Office,including the Centrelink and RTA Agencies (located at 36 Linsley Street), the Family Day Care Office, Youth Centre and the Cobar, Euabalong and Nymagee Libraries will be closed from Thursday 24th December 2009 and will re-open on Monday 4th January 2009. Applications For Street Stalls & RafflesThose persons/organisations wishing to hold street stalls and/or raffles in the business area of Cobar during the 2010 calendar year are requested to make an application in writing to Council. The application should state whether you wish to hold a street stall, a raffle, or both, and should include the dates, location and a contact person's name and phone number. 2nd Rate Instalment 2009/2010 Ratepayers are reminded that the Second Rate Instalment for the 2009/2010 year is due and payable before Monday 30 November 2009. Failure to pay by the due date will result daily interest at a rate of 10%. Senior Citizens Christmas Party The Senior Citizens' Christmas Party, hosted by Cobar Shire Council, will be held on Friday 11th December 2009 in the Council Chambers, 36 Linsley Street, commencing at 12noon.
