Description
Ailsa Fitzsimmons Oval is owned and used by the Cobar and District Rugby Union Football Club to hold their men's rugby union competition games and training. The Club usually has first and second grade teams that compete in the Western Plains Rugby Competition. Competitions usually begin in May and end in September with all spectators and supporters welcome at home games which are usually held on Saturdays.
The grounds include one grassed oval with lights, canteen and bar facilities, toilets and showers, changerooms, club house with stage, large uncover area and grandstands.

Description
The Cobar Bowman Club has facilities to practise the sport of archery of propelling arrows with the use of a bow. The club is located 5km out the Nyngan Road just past the rest area on the left hand side following the road over the railway track. Adults and children are welcome to participate. Club meets commence in February each year and competition shooting is usually held on the first, third and fifth (if applicable) Sundays of the month.

Description
Cobar Pony Club is a not-for-profit organisation invested into the development of horse riding in Cobar through targeting grassroots, and elite development programs, competitions and education programs. Pony Club exists to encouage horsemanship amongst its members, to provide appropiate coaching and competition, and to raise awareness of sportmanship and citizenship of its members. There are 24 stables available for lease through Cobar Pony Club, priority is given to active child riding members.
The Cobar Pony Club season is from March - October, Cobar Pony Club holds meetings when required, rallies (instructional days) fortnightly, as well as competitions, camps and clinics throughout the year. A calendar is set at the start of the season, with minor changes made throughout.
Pony Club covers a range of discipliness, from dressage, show jumping, sporting, eventing, barrel racing, camp drafting and lots more, disciplines taught are dependant on volunteer instructor's availability.

The Cobar Tennis Club runs open tennis competitions at the tennis courts located at the end of Bossie Mitchell Drive past Tom Knight Oval (off Bathurst Street). They usually hold competitions three times per year in summer, winter and spring with games usually played on Wednesdays. The grounds have four tennis courts and a clubhouse with canteen and toilet facilities.

The Centre has a fully stocked kiosk, offering cold drinks, chips, sweets, ice cream, hot chips, coffee, tea and cappuccinos etc
Games Room
The games room comprises two pool tables, television, DVD/video area, a table tennis table and a play station. The games room can be used for a variety of activities including:

- social table tennis
- pool competitions
- Bluelight discos

Bruce Mitchell Stadium
The stadium has two basketball courts, two netball courts and one indoor soccer field.
The Centre runs a senior women's basketball, wheelchair basketball, mixed netball, ladies netball, and mixed soccer competitions throughout the year. The Stadium is also used for children's playgroups Tuesday mornings and Family Day Care Thursday.
Squash Courts
There are three squash courts in the Centre. The centre also runs a Squalleyball competition usually held on Thursday nights.
The courts are also available for hire for between 7.00 am-9.00 pm. Racket hire is also available and balls can also be purchased from the kiosk.
Harry Marshall Gymnasium
The Centre's gymnasium has a full range of equipment from free weights to fixed equipment and a Cardio Room with treadmills, bikes, etc. The Cardio Room also incorporates an aerobics area. The centre has 6 and 12 month memberships for the gym as well as a 10 visit pass. Casual walk in rate is still available.
Through the school terms the room is available for casual hire.
We also hold Table Tennis games on Wednesday mornings at 10:30am.
Tennis Courts
The Centre has two outdoor all weather tennis courts, with lighting for evening tennis.
Women's social tennis is played Wednesday mornings when the weather permits.
Rest Rooms
The Centre has male and female showers and toilet facilities available.
Sauna
The Centre has one male and one female sauna available for hire. Bookings are required 10 minutes in advance.
Peak Skate Park
The Centre also features a new skate park built with funding from donations from Peak Gold Mine, contributions from Cobar Shire Council and a Infrastructure NSW Grant. The park is open 24 hours and has two quarter pipes, funbox, two junior jumps and four grindrails. There is no cost for the youth of Cobar to use this facility.
Kiosi Cafe Shop Area
This area is available for cappuccinos, hot chips or just to chat.

The Cobar Amateur Pistol Club is a club dedicated to pistol events. It has three approved ranges - a 10m air pistol, a 25m range and a 50m range. The Club's teams compete in the Toohey's Group 11 Rugby League competition which usually begins in April and ends in September annually with all spectators and supports welcome to at home games which are usually held on Sundays.

Description
Ward Oval is owned and operated by Council and is used by a variety of sporting organisations including the Cobar District Cricket Association, Cobar Netball Association, Cobar Junior Netball Association, Cobar Little Athletics and Cobar Junior Soccer.
The Copper City Men's Shed and Buffalo Lodge meetings, along with major annual events, the Cobar Show, the Copper City Sheep Dog Trials, Peak Gold Mine Golden Dash and tMine Rescue are also held at Ward Oval
The Ward Oval grounds includes three grassed ovals (main Oval Number 1 includes a turf cricket pitch and lights and Oval Numbers 2 and 3 include synthetic cricket pitches), canteen and bar facilities, toilets and showers, changerooms, netball courts, dining rooms, main pavilion with office, grandstands, various stock yards and stables, and other pavilions.
Council has developed a Master Plan for Ward Oval which includes concept designs for a new multi-purpose centre, upgrades to the oval including athletic facilities, additional lighting, improved show facilities and landscaping.
