Construction of (2) reinforced concrete bridges in Euabalong, 531 km west of Sydney and 222 km south of Cobar.
Council wishes to replace the following existing 3-tonne weight limit bridges over the Booberoi Creek (an anabranch system off the Lachlan River):
- SR22: Round Hill Road Bridge
SR23: Booberoi Road Bridge.
The Works forming this Contract include, but are not limited to:
- Demolition and removal of the two (2) existing bridges and associated earthworks.
- Construction of one (1) temporary bridge/crossing (bypass track by Cobar Shire Council). The bridge will suit a single-lane bypass track with a minimum T44 design loading.
- Construction of two (2) new bridges.
- Other associated Works.
The two new double-lane bridges are designed for SM1600 traffic loading per AS5100.2-2017. They have a weight limit of 100 tonnes, allowing heavy agricultural machinery and trucks to cross. The ease of access will improve the efficiency of farming/agricultural enterprises and companies.
