Cobar Shire Council joins the community in mourning following the tragic incident that occurred at Endeavor Mine early this morning.

Two lives have been lost, and another worker has been injured after an underground explosion at the site north of Cobar. Emergency services remain on scene, and investigations are underway.

Mayor Jarrod Marsden has expressed condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of those affected, acknowledging the profound impact such an event has on a close-knit community like Cobar.
