The Cobar Early Learning Centre provides a quality play-based early learning program for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, across three learning spaces; Infants (6mths-2yrs), Toddler (2-3yrs), and Preschool (3-5yrs). We pride ourselves on the relationships we develop with children, families, and educators as we believe this is the foundation to providing quality learning experiences and outcomes for children.
Our program is child centered and is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia. Each child’s current knowledge, strengths, ideas, culture, abilities, and interests are the core of our program. Our indoor-outdoor program provides children with the opportunity to engage in quality learning experiences with all age groups. Our educational team believes in the importance of older children scaffolding younger children’s learning. These opportunities allow children to act as leaders which develops creativity, empathy and kindness.
Through our play-based program and strong reciprocal relationships, our educational team have developed a transition to school program which focuses on developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills, resilience, social confidence, creativity and independent learning and agency. We are committed to providing a child safe culture through embedding the Office of the Children’s Guardian’s Child Safe Standards. These are the values and practices that guides the attitudes and behaviours of all educators.
Our brand new service opened in October 2024, and was architecturally designed specifically to exceed best practice early childhood education industry standards and has the capacity to accommodate up to 88 children.
