Cobar Regional Airport

Cobar Regional Airport is located 5km southwest of Cobar’s Town Centre. It is currently owned, operated and maintained by Cobar Shire Council. The Airport has operated since the mid 1960’s. The first plane to land in Cobar was actually in 1924 at Dalton Park which is now the location of the Racecourse.

The Airport provides an efficient access option for the substantial mining industry, also providing access to NSW Health Services and the general population.

Cobar Regional Airport was upgraded with funding from Restart NSW Fund Resources for Regions. The upgrade included reconstruction of the pavement to allow larger aircraft to land and a new lighting system that is CASA compliant.

Cobar Regional Airport (YCBA) is an approved non-precision GPS assisted Airport.
